Havemeyer

When Quince and Co introduced themselves to the yarn world, I designed a pattern called Welcome Hat to welcome them to the knitting world.

I was lucky enough to receive a pre-release skein of Shelter and decided that I would like to do the same thing. So to welcome Brooklyn Tweed’s Shelter to the knitting world, here is Havemeyer (and a HUGE welcome to Shelter!)-

Havemeyer is a cozy little cabled cowl, the version shown only takes one skein of Shelter and the pattern also offers instructions for a version with a wider circumference that takes 2 skeins. The pattern is available here for $3.00.

Havemeyer is the name of a street in the neighborhood that I used to live in Brooklyn, so I thought it appropriate.

Shelter is an absolutely gorgeous, rustic, light, woolen spun, worsted weight tweed yarn, with a stunning color palette.  I already have plans for a sweater in the color called Wool Socks!
