It has been forever since I put out a new self published design, so here is Breaktide !
Breaktide is a cardigan with 3/4 length sleeves that is worked from the top down, in one piece, without seams. The body is in St st with a knitted in ribbed button band and ribbed bottom hem. The sleeve cuff and neck trims are worked in a very pretty, but easy to work slip stitch pattern.
Finished Measurements at bust- 32 (35, 38 ½, 42 ¼, 45 ¾, 49 ½, 53, 56 ¾, 60 ¼)”
Sample size: 35 ”, shown with 2” positive ease.
Materials:
Luxe Merino Fine by Kitchen Sink Dyeworks (80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon) 120 gram skein = approx 390 yards
• 3 (3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5) skeins Dexter
• Approx yards- 820 (910, 990, 1080, 1170, 1240, 1375, 1475, 1570)

Needles:
• One 29” circular (circ) needle size US 7 (4.5 mm). (Body is worked flat, circ needle is used to accommodate large number of sts)
• One set double pointed needles (dpns) size US 7 (4.5 mm). (for sleeves)
Or size to obtain gauge.
• One 16” circ needle size US 5 (3.75 mm). (for neck pattern)
• One set of dpns size US 5 (3.75). (for cuff pattern)
Notions:
• Large stitch holders or waste yarn
• Tapestry needle
• Eight 5/8” buttons
Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch on larger needles. Take time to save time, check your gauge.
