Landing pre-order, Post 4

And the final 2 patterns from Landing, both with pockets!

Spindrift

Spindrift is full of great details: patch pockets, a wide collar, and a textured pattern down the back. The fronts lay open for a casual look, but can also be overlapped to bundle up. It’s just the kind of thing you’ll want to reach for on a chilly day.

Finished Measurements: 33 1⁄2 (35 3⁄4, 39, 42 1⁄4, 45 1⁄4, 48 1⁄2, 51 3⁄4, 55, 58 1⁄4)” bust circumference.

Shown in size 33 1⁄2″ with 1⁄2″ of negative ease.

Materials

6 (7, 7, 8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10) skeins Quince & Co. Osprey (100% American wool; approx 170 yds per 100 g skein) in Frost

Approx 1000 (1075, 1135, 1210, 1315, 1420, 1480, 1570, 1665) yds.

One 29″ circular needle size US 10 1⁄2 (6.5 mm)

One set double pointed needles size US 10 1⁄2 (6.5 mm)

One 29″ circular needle size US 11 (8 mm)

Or size needed to obtain gauge.

Stitch markers

Large stitch holders or waste yarn

Gauge: 15 sts and 21 rows = 4″ in Stockinette stitch with smaller needle

Newale

Newale, with its 3⁄4 length sleeves, has a fun little twist—a curved pocket detail that is shaped as you work it. It’s a neat (and useful!) detail that adds an interesting visual element to a classic one-button cardigan.

Finished Measurements: 32 1⁄2 (35 1⁄2, 38 3⁄4, 42, 45 1⁄4, 48 1⁄2, 51 1⁄2, 54 3⁄4, 58)” bust circumference.

Shown in size 35 3⁄4″ with 3⁄4″ of positive ease.

Materials

3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5) skeins Dirty Water Dyeworks Edna (85% Polwarth wool, 15% silk; approx 380 yds per 130 g skein) in Moon Shadow

Approx 1000 (1080, 1150, 1225, 1310, 1370, 1450, 1510, 1575) yds.

One 29″ circular needle size US 7 (4.5 mm)

Two extra needles of any length size US 7 (4.5 mm)

One set double pointed needles size US 7 (4.5 mm)

Or size needed to obtain gauge.

Okay, so now, why should you pre-order?

Here are a few reasons:

A limited number of  books have been printed, and pre-ordering ensures that you receive a copy.

All print book orders come with a free copy of the e-book immediately.

AND, all print book (just print book orders are eligible) pre-orders placed by August 1st are entered to win this collection of some of my favorite yarns. (I will use a random number generator to pick the winner.)

To pre-order your print copy of Landing (you will receive a copy of the ebook immediately), click on the link to Ravelry here.

Thank you so much for visiting and I really hope that you enjoy Landing!

All the best,

Cecily

  1. Oh these patterns are fabulous, so elegant and such temptation I will definitely be purchasing the book!

  2. I can’t say how many times I have wished for a book of Winged Knits patterns. One that I could hold in my hands while planning projects and dreaming.
